Allen Heights Veterinary Repeats as Josh Billings Runaground ChampiBerkshires.com Sports,

 LENOX, Mass. -- Hundreds of amateur athletes Sunday won the 46th Josh Billings Runaground Triathlon where, as the motto goes, "To finish is to win." The day's fastest finishers featured familiar names as the four-man team from Allen Heights Veterinary was the first across the finish line at Camp Mah-Kee-Nac, which took over this year from Tanglewood as the triathlon terminus. As usual, teams headed out from downtown Great Barrington for a 27-mile bike ride to the boat launch at the Stockbridge Bowl, where pedalers gave way to paddlers for a 5-mile spring around the lake.  GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Rural Recovery Resources will be hosting a rally and event this Saturday to "Smash The Stigma" surrounding addiction and to shine a light on the services available to people. "The spirit of 'Smash the Stigma' is exactly what the title is, to address the stigma that's attached to substance use disorder, and to normalize, having conversations about that," said project manager Gary Pratt said. The Saturday, Aug. 27, event, "W.E.B Du Bois: I've Known Rivers," included readings, music, and history at the River Park named after the late sociologist, historian, and civil rights activist. Body Found in Lee Believed to Be Missing School Teacher| 12:00PM / Friday, September 02, 2022 | |
 LEE, Mass. — Investigators located and recovered human remains presumed to be of 42-year-old Meghan Marohn, who was reported missing on March 29, according to the Berkshire District Attorney's Office. On Thursday evening, a civilian discovered the remains in a heavily wooded area near Fox Drive in Lee. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took custody of the remains to make a positive identification. Investigators are still actively canvassing the area, and the evidence collected thus far indicates a high likelihood that the remains are that of Marohn. LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be reopening the Route 20 eastbound on-ramp to Interstate 90 at exit 10 in Lee on Tuesday, Aug. 30. The on-ramp is scheduled to be reopened during afternoon hours after detour restrictions have been removed. The ramp was closed in May 2022 to allow crews to safely and efficiently conduct bridge deck, joint, and facia repair operations. Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area. Unlike previous district attorneys, Andrea Harrington has brought an unwavering sense of kindness and compassion to her office, which has enhanced the way the Berkshire court system operates.
Hopefully, when someone actually pays attention to her office's accomplishments, they will want to help her build upon the momentum of change she has created.
Andrea was elected four years ago because we wanted change. Let's keep that momentum going.
