Adams Community Bank Great Barrington Branch Opens

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Adams Community Bank (ACB) announced the Bank's expansion into Great Barrington with its newest branch opening at 342 Stockbridge Road.    This is the second branch opened by the Bank within the past ten months, as the Merrill Road location opened in Pittsfield in December 2022.   The Great Barrington branch opened for business on Monday, Sept. 18.    According to a press release, the new branch will will enhance the Bank's presence in the South County area, offering a wide range of banking products and services to meet local residents' and businesses' diverse financial needs. LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced that crews will be conducting daytime and overnight hour pavement milling, slope stabilization, bridge and drainage repair operations on I-90 eastbound and westbound in Becket, Otis, Lee, West Stockbridge, Stockbridge, and Blandford.     The work will be conducted at various times and locations from Monday, Sept. 18, through Friday, Sept 22.    Lane closures will be in place during the construction operations and traffic will be able to travel through the work zones.  The schedule for the work and lane closures will be as follows:    Becket/Otis  Slope

Great Barrington Senior Center Closed for Paving Work

Berkshire Communities Receive Highway Funds

BOSTON — The Healey-Driscoll Administration and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced that MassDOT has received an additional $80 million in funding from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) as part of the annual funding redistribution process.    These redistribution funds represent federal transportation funds that were unable to be used for the programs to which they were originally allocated. New Chief Joins Great Barrington Fire Department

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Scott Turner has joined the Great Barrington Fire Department as its new chief.   Turner, who began his job Sept. 1, has 29 years of experience in fire protection service and has served as the fire chief of Three Rivers Fire Department in the Pioneer Valley since 2013.   He succeeds Charles Burger, who departed the Berkshire region earlier this year. Behavioral Health Network Receives State Grant
