Great Barrington Participating in National Drug Take Back Day

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The Great Barrington Police Department (GBPD) is participating in National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 30.   Anyone wishing to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications may drop these off at the GBPD.    Substance use often starts with the misuse of prescription drugs found in medicine cabinets in homes all across America. These prescription drugs can be dropped at participating police departments, with no questions asked and no consequences.   Participating police departments in South County include Egremont, Great Barrington, Lee, Lenox, Monterey, Otis, Sheffield and Stockbridge.

Berkshire Economic Recovery Program Announces Additional Offerings

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — 1Berkshire, in partnership with Berkshire Regional Planning Commission and with support from the United States Economic Development Administration, announced additional cohorts being added to the Spring 2022 slate of technical assistance offerings of the Berkshire Economic Recovery Program (BERP).   The Berkshire Economic Recovery Program Technical Assistance series has supported more than 35 businesses through targeted, need-specific offerings. ArtWeek Berkshires 2022 Welcomes Submissions

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire County's five Cultural Districts are partnering again to  expand ArtWeek Berkshires 2022 that will take place from Sept 15 to Sept 25.    The coalition recently posted its first call for artists. The non-juried event is free to all Berkshire County individuals, organizations, and businesses interested in showcasing creative work. Simon's Rock Awarded Early College Full School Impact Planning Grant
