The professors keep things light and entertaining.  WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — It was storytime this past week at Williams College.   But the rising fifth- and sixth-graders at the college's Summer Science Lab were not being told stories. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Twenty-two graduates of the Practical Nurse certificate program at Berkshire Community College were recognized June 14 during a pinning ceremony in the Robert Boland Theatre of the college's Koussevitzky Arts Center.

Nurse Catherine Stechmann, staff development coordinator at Hillcrest Commons Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility and clinical instructor, addressed the students.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — This was the seventh year new artwork by Drury High School students has been installed on the side of the Cascade School Supplies building on Brown Street.

"Again we stand here in awe," Cascade President Pete Cote said Monday during a brief ceremony.

This was the first year that Mayor Thomas Bernard was on hand during the ceremony to see the art and a handful of the artists first-hand.

"It's incredible," Bernard said.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Community College has announced its spring 2018 dean's List.

To be eligible for the list, full-time students must have declared a major; completed a minimum of 12 non-repeated, traditionally graded credit hours during the spring semester; and achieved a 3.250 to 3.749 grade point average for honors, or a 3.750 to 4.000 grade point average for high honors. Part-time students are eligible for the list if they meet the same requirements, except that their credit hours may have been completed during the fall and spring semesters of one academic year.
