Floyd R. Jacobs, 66, passed to eternal life at 3:47 PM on Sept. 25, 2023, at Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield.

Floyd was born on Aug. 27, 1957, in Clinton, NC to Daniel and Katie Lou (Merritt) Jacobs. He lived in  Pittsfield since 1958.  He was a graduate of Pittsfield High School where he proudly played on the football team. 

Floyd was a mechanic.  On May 30, 1986, he married Mary Gerarda Maciora in Pittsfield, they divorced in 1990. Mary died on Aug. 26, 2017. 

Floyd enjoyed electronics, football, barbecuing, fishing, food, telling jokes, listening to music, and genealogy.  He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Pittsfield and others.  

Survivors include his beloved daughter, Susan Marie Jacobs of Albany, NY. He leaves his dear sisters Virginia Williams, Brenda Jacobs,  Margie Jacobs, all of Pittsfield, MA and Lottie Fowler of Rose Hill, NC.  He also leaves his good brothers Stephen Jacobs of Pawtucket RI and James Jacobs of Pittsfield, MA. 

He was predeceased by his siblings Judge Lee Jacobs on November 15, 2007,  Siegel O. Jacobs on October 9, 2011, William Merritt on January 6, 2014, and Catherine J. Luckey on April 21, 2002.  He leaves many nieces and nephews.

A small private family celebration of life will be held in his memory.
