GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Dr. Everett Lamm has been named chief medical officer for Community Health Programs. He will also practice pediatrics and adolescent medicine in the CHP Great Barrington office.
Dr. Lamm is a board-certified pediatrician who has practiced community pediatrics on New Hampshire's Seacoast for 14 years before to relocating to the Berkshires. He is a strong advocate of primary care medicine, population health and community well-being.

New Hampshire Magazine's readers voted Dr. Lamm as the "Top Doctor" in pediatrics for five consecutive years. While in New Hampshire, he was clinical assistant professors of pediatrics at Dartmouth College's Geisel School of Medicine teaching and mentoring medical students. He led Exeter Hospital's Section of Pediatrics, served on the New Hampshire Medical Society’s Executive Council and as an elected member of the Stratham (NH) School Board.
He served the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services as a legislative advocate, educator and speaker. He was the commissioner’s appointee to the legislatively-mandated New Hampshire Vaccine Association's Board of Directors and a member of the Immunization Program's Advisory and Vaccine Selection Committees. In 2014, Dr. Lamm was recognized nationally by the Centers for Disease Control as New Hampshire’s Childhood Immunization Champion.
Lamm attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his B.A. in International Relations. He earned his post-baccalaureate in Premedical Studies at Harvard University and then attended the University of Vermont College of Medicine to earn his medical degree. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Vermont Children’s Hospital. He is also a graduate of New Hampshire’s Leadership Seacoast program. He enjoys family time with his wife and two daughters, hiking, biking, soccer and serving his community.
He succeeds Dr. Thomas Irwin, who has served as interim chief medical officer for several months during CHP's nationwide search for a permanent chief medical officer. Irwin has been named chief medical informatics officer for CHP, in addition to his primary care medical practice in Great Barrington.
