PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The staff of state Sen. Adam G. Hinds, D-Pittsfield, will host two community outreach events during December.
The senator's staff will be available to meet with constituents in the communities of Clarksburg and Conway for this month's staff office hours on Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Last month's scheduled office hours in Clarksburg had to be postponed to December.
Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 11 to 1, Clarksburg Town Hall at 111 River Road;
Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 11 to noon, Conway Town Hall, 5 Academy Hill Road
Wednesday, Dec. 12, noon to 1, Conway Town Offices, 32 Main St.
All residents of the Berkshire, Hampshire, Franklin & Hampden Senate District are invited to participate in these sessions if they have an idea, question or comment about state government they wish to share, or if they require assistance from the senator's constituent services team.
Appointments are not necessary but can be booked in advance by calling the Pittsfield office at 413-344-4561 or the Williamsburg office at 413-768-2373. These office hours provide an opportunity for those seeking assistance with state agencies or programs to speak with Hinds’ constituency services staff in person.
Hinds' district staff, A.J. Enchill and Jon Gould, hold roving office hours outside of their primary work locations once a month. Enchill is based in the senator's Pittsfield office, Gould splits his time in Pittsfield and Williamsburg.
The senator expects to host at least 10 open conversation/community office hours events in rotating locations across his district each year. The meetings are agenda-free, unscripted, and designed for residents and local officials to ask questions, share concerns, and make recommendations on state issues to the state Senator and his district staff.
During 2018, the senator's district staff traveled to 19 towns and met with hundreds of local officials and residents during their roving office hours. This year Team Hinds will have visited the communities of Buckland, Charlemont, Chesterfield, Clarksburg, Conway, Egremont, Florida, Goshen, Hancock, Hawley, Huntington, New Ashford, Otis, Richmond, Sandisfield, Sheffield, Shelburne, Tyringham, Westhampton, Williamsburg, and Worthington.
Those who are unable to attend these events who are seeking to interact with the senator and his staff may email him at Adam.Hinds@masenate.gov
