ERGEMONT, Mass. — Cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Emanuel Ax will present a benefit concert for Greenagers, outdoors under a tent on July 7 at 6 p.m. outdoors under a tent at the April Hill Conservation Center.
On learning of Greenagers' outdoor education and job programs for teens and young adults in the Berkshires, Ma and Ax offered to team up for this outdoor event. The evening includes a conversation with the musicians and Greenagers Executive Director, Will Conklin.
Ma and Ax, in a shared statement, commended Greenagers' commitment to engaging teens and young adults in the "long traditions of stewardship for the land, traditional trades, and care for the community. Greenagers is the best of Berkshire culture."

"After an extraordinary year of working with our community to adapt and cope with COVID-19, a concert with this impressive duo marks a big leap ahead for Greenagers as we grow our programs and contribute to food security for our neighbors."
Greenagers, based at the April Hill conservation property at 62 N. Undermountain Road in Egremont, provides jobs, apprenticeships and education programs for teens and young adults interested in environmental conservation, food security, trails management,and community service.
