LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced that crews will be conducting daytime and overnight hour pavement milling, slope stabilization, bridge and drainage repair operations on I-90 eastbound and westbound in Becket, Otis, Lee, and Blandford.
The work will be conducted at various times and locations from Monday, Oct. 2, through Friday, Oct. 6.
Lane closures will be in place during the construction operations and traffic will be able to travel through the work zones. The schedule for the work and lane closures will be as follows:
Becket

Bridge repair operations will be conducted daily on I-90 eastbound at mile marker 17.4 from Monday, Oct. 2, through Friday, Oct. 6, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 6.
Becket/Otis

Slope stabilization operations will be conducted nightly on I-90 eastbound between mile marker 21.0 and mile marker 22.0 from Monday, Oct. 2, through Friday, Oct. 6, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 6.
Lee

Milling operations will be conducted nightly on I-90 eastbound between mile marker 7.6 and mile marker 13.5, from Monday, Oct. 2, through Friday, Oct. 6, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 6.

Paving operations will be conducted nightly on I-90 westbound between mile marker 13.0 and mile marker 7.4, from Monday, Oct. 2, through Friday, Oct. 6, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 6.

Paving operations will take place at the Lee service plaza on I-90 eastbound on Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Paving operations will take place at the Lee service plaza on I90 eastbound on Wednesday night Oct. 4, from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.. The back loop of the plaza will be closed through 5:00 a.m. on Thursday Oct. 5, but there will be access to the plaza.

Milling operations will take place at the Lee service plaza on I-90 westbound on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The back loop of the plaza will be closed through 5:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, but there will be access to the plaza.
Blandford

Drainage repairs will be conducted on I-90 westbound between mile marker 24.0 and mile marker 20.0 on Monday, Oct. 2, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Bridge repairs will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 22.5, on Monday, Oct. 2, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
